August was a busy month for me this year. For the past couple of years, we have tried to slam the last bits of summer into the last two weeks of August. This year we took a trip to Arizona and then onto the Pacific Northwest over the last two weeks of August. While we were there, we spent time in Seattle to visit some friends and knocked an item off my bucket list by getting coffee at KEXP. We also spent a weekend in Westport, Washington, then drove down the coast to Cannon Beach for a couple of days.
While we were on vacation, the Minnesota State Fair was happening, so instead of taking it easy when we returned home, we took a day to recover from traveling and then went right to the state fair. We only spent half the day there this year. I've started to really enjoy the fair and normally would want to stay later, but this year none of us had it in us, so we were out of there by 4pm.
I really focused on taking a lot of pictures last month. September isn't looking like it's going to be as big of a month as August was—being somewhere new always helps with photography—but there's still time left this month for good pictures.
