Website Care Plans
Guaranteed access instead of hoping I have capacity when something breaks
Most site owners only call a developer when something is already wrong. By then you are waiting on someone else's schedule.
A care plan changes the arrangement. Instead of calling when something breaks and waiting for me to have room, a fixed monthly block buys you priority and a defined response time. Updates get applied before they turn into incidents, and when you do need something you are already at the front of the line.
You are buying guaranteed access. The maintenance is what keeps the quiet months quiet.
What's Included
- Defined response time. A committed window for getting back to you, in writing, rather than a best effort.
- A monthly block of hours. Use it for features, content changes, integration work or firefighting. Whatever you need that month.
- Platform and plugin updates. WordPress core and plugins, Umbraco minor versions, Shopify app updates and .NET dependency patching.
- Security patching. Applied on a schedule rather than after a disclosure.
- Uptime and error monitoring. So you hear about problems from me and not from a customer.
- Backups, verified. Backups that are tested by restoring them.
- Performance checks. Periodic review of load times and Core Web Vitals, with fixes inside your hour block.
- Integration monitoring. Payment, email, CRM and fulfillment integrations break when vendors change APIs. Watching for that is part of the plan.
How It Works
- Month to month. No annual lock-in. If it is not earning its keep, cancel it.
- Hours do not roll over. The block is reserved capacity, which is what makes the response time possible.
- Bigger work is quoted separately. A redesign or a platform migration is a project, not a care plan. The plan covers the ongoing part.
- Billed monthly. One predictable line item instead of unpredictable invoices after every incident.
Platforms I Support
WordPress and WordPress Multisite, Umbraco, Shopify, and custom .NET applications on Azure or AWS. If I built it, I can maintain it. If someone else built it, I will look at it first and tell you whether taking it on makes sense.
Related: WordPress hosting and development, Umbraco consulting, and Shopify development.
